CARE & OUTREACH
CARE Ministry
No one walks alone at RCC. That’s our hope. Life is challenging, but God has designed the Church to be a group of people devoted to one another: comforting, encouraging, and caring. At RCC, some of the ways we do that are listed below. If you need care, or would like to help in caring for others – click on one of the links below to get connected.

SEWING SEEDS
At the heart of Sewing Seeds Ministry is a simple but powerful belief: that a handmade gift can carry the love of God in a tangible, lasting way. Each week, a dedicated group of quilters gathers to cut, stitch, and sew pouring care and prayer into every quilt they create. These are no ordinary blankets. Each one is thoughtfully crafted and inscribed with scripture, chosen to bring comfort, hope, and encouragement to whoever receives it. These quilts find their way into the hands of people walking through some of life's most difficult seasons those recovering from surgery, grieving a loss, battling illness, or simply in need of a reminder that they are seen and loved. Each quilt is given completely free of charge, as a gift of grace and a tangible expression of our church family's care for the broader community. If you've ever wanted to turn a practical skill into a ministry of the heart, we'd love to have you join us. No matter your experience level, your hands can help bring comfort to someone who needs it most.

DISCIPLSHIP &
STEPHEN MINISTRY
A one-to-one Christian caregiving ministry where a carefully trained member of our congregation is paired with someone who is navigating a difficult season of life. It's not about having all the answers, It's about showing up consistently, listening with compassion, and pointing one another toward the hope and healing found in Christ. Whether you are in the middle of a storm right now and could use a caring presence, or you feel called to come alongside others in their time of need, there is a place for you here. Stephen Ministry is both an opportunity to receive care in your most vulnerable moments, and to offer it in someone else's and in that exchange, our whole church family grows deeper in love and faith together.

CARE & SUPPORT
STITCHES WITH LOVE
Each week, a warm and welcoming group of knitters and crochet enthusiasts gathers to stitch together beautiful blankets and beanies for children in need within our own community as well as orphaned children in Mexico. Every blanket is given freely, wrapped in the prayers of the hands that made it, and sent out as a tangible expression of God's warmth and love. If you knit, crochet, or have ever wanted to learn, this is a ministry where your hobby becomes a calling. Pull up a chair, bring your needles, and join a group of people who are changing lives one stitch at a time.

RCC COMMUNITY
PRAYER WALL
A key way that we show up for one another as a community is through intercessory prayer. If you have a prayer request that you would like the RCC community to help pray for, go ahead and post it below. Posting a request is simple, you are welcome to share under your name or to post anonymously. To ensure this remains a safe and supportive space for everyone, all prayer requests are reviewed and approved by our ministry moderators before appearing on the wall.
OUTREACH MINISTRY
Giving away the joy of Jesus everywhere we go, in our neighborhoods, across town, and around the world. Sometimes this happens through intentional conversations with friends and neighbors, other times it’s through events and opportunities with local partners, and sometimes it’s in collaboration with partners on the other side of the globe.

GLOBAL
God has called us to be His witnesses everywhere, in our neighborhoods and our nations, across the street and across the ocean (Acts 1:8). That calling shapes everything we do. It sends us into our local communities to serve those on the margins, and it sends us around the globe to partner with missionaries, churches, and ministries working in some of the world's most unreached places.

LOCAL
We have always believed that the church's walls don't end at our front door. They extend into food pantries and after-school programs, into shelters and community centers, into every place where people are hurting and hope is needed. Over the years, the faithful initiative of our own church families has led to meaningful, lasting connections with local organizations that are doing vital work right here in our own backyard.
LOCAL PARTNERS
RCC's ANTI-TRAFFICKING MINISTRY
Our own anti-trafficking effort in partnership with the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, the Salvation Army, Waymakers, and others to help in the education and prevention of human trafficking
Charity on Wheels
a local partner who ministers to the homeless community in our local area. There are opportunities to distribute everyday essentials, to help serve meals, or to donate to their thrift store.
LOT 318
a local ministry partner who is very involved in the community just south of Orangethorpe at the Gomez Center with opportunities for mentoring, homework clubs, and reading clubs.
GO Team
The Global Outreach team meets monthly to review the ministry updates of our partners around the world and to pray for those partners and their families.
Living Well Crisis Pregnancy Center
A local ministry partner located in Orange helping young pregnant women in crisis find answers, find support, and find peace.
Olive Crest
STRONG FAMILIES PROGRAM – A local ministry partner that trains RCC families to be host families for children whose parent/s need a short break to deal with pressing issues. This ministry helps keep those children out of foster care and those families intact.

MEET KEITH
PASTOR OF CARE & OUTREACH
KEITHG@richfieldcc.org
Apparently Keith has a great fear of faraway places. He was born in Placentia, went to college in Fullerton, attended seminary in Brea, and is now on staff at RCC here in Yorba Linda. He committed himself to Christ in his first year of college and studied to pursue ministry as a Bible translator – something he could do from home perhaps? Since then, God has led him on a wild ride of occupational opportunities from musician, to case manager, to crisis counselor, to Army chaplain, to Pastor of Care. All the while, drawing Keith to the task of extending Christ’s offer of grace through faith to those who are hurting – both within the church and without.
Keith earned his Master's of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
