LIFE GROUPS

ENJOYING GOD'S WORD IN COMMUNITY

Life Groups at RCC are centered on doing life together in meaningful, authentic community. These gatherings provide a space where people can consistently engage with God’s Word, share honestly about their lives, pray for one another, and build friendships marked by encouragement, trust, and joy. Each week, participants come not only to learn, but to be known and to celebrate victories, navigate challenges, and grow in faith side by side.

We believe Life Groups reflect God’s design for spiritual growth, where transformation happens best in the context of relationships. As we open Scripture together and point one another toward Christ, our hope is that each person would experience deeper joy in Him and a stronger sense of belonging within His family. Life Groups are more than meetings—they are communities where faith becomes personal, hope is strengthened, and lives are shaped through the shared pursuit of following Jesus.

Life Group questions?

Here are some things people want to know about Life Groups

Why Join a Life Group?

“At RCC, Life Groups are the heart of our ministry and the best way to get connected. They’re where we build relationships, bless one another, and experience real community. As we walk through life and Scripture together, we believe our spiritual, emotional, and mental health naturally grow too. Life Groups are also about enjoying God—because there’s no greater joy than living fully for Jesus—and that joy shapes everything we do. And along the way, groups occasionally head out to serve our local community together. In short, Life Groups are all about doing life, faith, and mission—together.”

How can I join a Life Group?

There are three easy ways to get signed up:

1) Sign up online at (website link) or download our Church Center App and register on the Events page.
2) Fill out a Connect Card during a worship service, indicating which group you'd like to join, and drop it in a "For God" box.
3) Visit the Get Connected Table on campus before or after a Sunday morning service and the team will help get you connected.
However you decide to sign up for a Life Group, one of our pastors will reachout and help get you plugged in.

When and where do they meet?

Life Groups meet on various nights of the week, some at homes and some at RCC.

How long do they last?

Each group will meet for during two semesters, with a Fall (Sept-Dec) and Spring (Jan-May) semester

Each Life Group semester lasts about 16-20 weeks, depending on holidays. At the end of each semester, you will have the choice ofopting in or out of the current group you are in. You can take a break or join another group. Most of our groups stay together throughout the year. This rhythm helps our leaders get some rest during the Summer and helps us launch new groups each year.

What is the required committment?

Our hope and design for Life Groups is that each member is happily and consistently invested in the Life Group! Groups thrive the most when each member makes the relationships and spiritual health of the group a priority in their life!

What about child care?

Our Life Groups do not have build in child care, so we ask that each member or group figures out their own child care. We can work together to find solutions if you are having any problems

What will we study?

Our Life Groups focus on the passage of Scripture that is being walkedthrough in our Sunday morning sermons. We are passionate about readingwell so that we may have a rich understanding of God through His Word. Then we share life with each other, seeing where the truth of God’s text maybe applied in each of our lives. We o[er a sheet of Life Group questions eachweek based o[ of our passage as well.

What does it cost?

Financially, it is free (unless you are requiring personal child care). The only cost is the sacrifice of your time and energy, which we believe is well worth it!

Are there Life Groups for teenagers?

We do not have Life Groups for teens; however, our Student Ministry hasWednesday Night Core Groups, which you can hear more about from ourStudent Pastor, Justin Millsap! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with anyquestions about how we can help you and your family get more connected around RCC.
