CHILDREN & FAMILIES

OUR PURPOSE

KIDSCONNECT

Our vision for Children & Family Ministries is to engage children and empower parents for this joy-filled, lifetime journey with Jesus. We want kids to know how good God is, how much He loves them, and that church is a place they want to be. And we see ourselves as a supportive partner in establishing a strong faith foundation in the lives of children.

PRE K - 4TH GRADE

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday mornings during both services

From the moment they arrive, RCC kids are welcomed into an environment full of creativity, laughter, and hands-on fun; building, imagining, and exploring with friends. We gather to sing and move and share a simple but meaningful truth about God’s love. It’s a joyful, safe space where kids feel known—and parents can feel confident their child is cared for and growing.

ROUTE 56

Sunday mornings during our 10:45AM service

Got a fifth or sixth grader? Route 56 is a program crafted especially for them. Each Sunday we dig into questions preteens are asking and answer them from a Biblical worldview perspective. Plus we gather on the 3rd Wednesday night of each month during the school year for a time of fun and relationship building! We do escape rooms, movie nights, game nights, spa & smore events, plus so much more!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

SUMMER ADVENTURE

Every summer, kids from all across Orange County descend upon RCC for a week-long, themed adventure through the Bible they won't soon forget. Each day brings a new chapter in the story, brought to life through energetic skits, hands-on crafts, and high-energy games that keep young hearts and minds engaged. Teams compete in friendly challenges throughout the week, building camaraderie and excitement as kids cheer each other on. Along the way, our dedicated volunteers help children discover timeless biblical truths in ways that are fun, memorable, and meaningful. By the end of the week, kids leave with new friendships, a deeper faith, and memories that last well beyond summer.

 DISCIPLESHIP FOR PARENTS

FIRMLY ROOTED

Our parenting discipleship ministry is designed to encourage and equip you as you lead your children in faith amid today’s cultural challenges. Each class invites you to take a deeper look at your child—and your role as their primary example of faith. You’ll spend time at home reading, discussing, praying, and working through simple assignments, then gather with other parents for encouragement and support. Classes are led by our Pastor of Children & Families, Heather Stannard.

MEET HEATHER

PASTOR OF CHILDREN & FAMILIES

heathers@richfieldcc.org

After many years away, Heather has finally returned home! In the past, she served as RCC as its Student Ministries pastor and now many of her former students have grown and have kids of their own. Born and raised in Southern California, Heather grew up in the church, but her faith really became her own in highschool and college. Spend a few minutes with her and you can't escape the love and passion she. has for God and His people. It was this love and passion that took her to Talbot Theological Seminary in a pursuit to deepen her roots in ministry. As a mom of two delightful girls, Heather is PASSIONATE about families and equipping them to love and lead their kids to Jesus. She is full of energy and life and is always up for adventure! If she is not at church with her husband or her girls, she is drinking milk tea at a park reading or in the pool swimming he heart out!

Heather earned her Master's in Bible Exposition from Talbot School of Theology.
